Lakai Footwear Limited has to be one of the coolest skate shoe companies around. Like a large majority of the skateboarding shoes companies Lakai is based out of California, however, it was founded in 1999 by two of the best professional skateboarders around, Mike Carroll and Rick Howard after leaving their sponsorship with DC. It is know that the two felt they could make a contribution to the skate-footwear world by running their own company rather than riding for someone else’s, which has been enormous success.
Lakai has arguably the best professional skateboarders around as their pro team consists of Marc Johnson, MikeMo Capaldi, Guy Mariano, Jesus Fernandez, just to name a few, and of course Mike Carroll, Rick Howard. Futhermore, Lakai’s 2007 skate video, “Fully Flared” won the Years Best Video Award from Skateboarding Magazine and the best video award from Transworld.

Fallen footwear is a skateboarding footwear company or in other words a skate shoe brand, that was created in 2003 by professional skateboarder Jamie Thomas. Fallen shoes are notorious for providing both excellent sole and upper features. For instance, Fallen insoles are designed to absorb impact and provide comfortable cushioning, while maintaining a lightweight design with no sacrifice to comfort. Additional features in Fallen footwear shoe line consist of a highly abrasion and resistant outer sole that is susceptible to a fair amount of wear and durability. Furthermore, some of their shoes include gel heel inserts for extra impact cushioning.
The spring and fall collection consists of some great shoes in some awesome colors. Airwalk Skate Shoes has definitely been around the block, as this company was founded in 1986. Airwalk was one of the first companies offering skate shoes, snowboard boots and other clothing products. It sponsored profession skates include the infamous Tony Hawk and Jason Lee. Airwalk today is a mainstream shoe and clothing company, and their shoes are more for the general audience then the professional skateboard.
